Composition / Construction: Uwharrie Chair's unique outdoor furniture collections combine classic American styling with extraordinary comfort and character. These heavy, generously scaled products are hand crafted from thick, kiln-dried pressure treated southern yellow pine, an American renewable resource. A distressed finish treatment provides an antique, weathered appearance. With their rugged good looks and solid construction, these chairs and their companion pieces will provide comfort and character for years to come. Insect and rot resistant, the furniture requires no additional protection from exposure to weather. This is why it is possible to distress the finish on Uwharrie Chairs, giving them the appearance of time-worn antiques.

Assembly: All of our Uwharrie products are delivered partially assembled (in knock-down form) and require some easy assembly with common household tools.

Finish: Uwharrie Chair Company uses a specially developed latex enamel paint that is made for outdoor use, is non-toxic, and water based. Darker color paints such as Rustic Red, Tractor Red, New England Red, and Twilight Blue are mixed with SPF agents to resist fading. Uwharrie products come standard in the 30 finishes listed above. In addition to their standard finish each color can be distressed as follows: 'Distressed' which is slightly distressed around the edges and grain to give the appearance of an antique, weathered look. And 'Washed', the most distressed finish to give the appearance of a further antique look.

Transit Time / Shipping: Most Uwharrie products ship using Federal Express Ground and will take 5-7 days in transit. Some Larger items will be delivered by motor freight and will take 5-10 days in transit. When items ship motor freight, in most cases you will be notified 24 hours in advance of you scheduled delivery date and time. All items must be inspected for damage prior to signing the freight bill. If the driver will not wait for you to inspect the shipment please write on the freight bill: "driver will not wait to inspect for damage". Failure to do so may prohibit us from being able to replace the damaged pieces at no charge to you. Free Freight offer applies to all Continental U.S. 48 states only.

Warranty / Care Instructions: The wood used in Uwharrie Chair products is warranted against termites and decay when used in normal environmental conditions. The hardware is also warranted against corrosion due to exposure to normal environmental conditions. The original consumer is entitled to receive new wood replacement parts for damage or rot or termites. The original consumer is also entitled to replacement hardware if any screws or bolts experience corrosion under normal environmental conditions.

Expected Aging: You should expect to see some additional loss of paint and some surface cracking; exposed wood will eventually turn dark; the wood will even warp slightly from time to time. This makes each piece unique, and slightly different from the rest. Even as nature matures your furniture, the wood and the product will remain structurally sound for years to come.
