Just like our Sioux canopy log beds but with a slight change. The Dakota canopy log bed features vertical railing posts while the Sioux style has horizontal railings. All log furniture is subject to the natural process of "checking". Checking happens as wood releases moisture, and normally occurs across or through the annual growth rings. It is the usual result of wood seasoning. Checking occurs only on the surface of the wood and does not affect the structural performance or integrity of the wood. As such, it is not considered a defect. This natural process adds to the uniqueness of the pieces and lends it that certain rustic appeal that has become so popular in home and garden decor.

About Shipping: Twin, Double and Queen Beds ship using UPS or Federal Express and will take 5-7 days in transit.

King Beds will be delivered by Motor Freight Truck, with Curbside Delivery Service and will take 5-10 days in transit. Lift-gate Service, Indoor Delivery or White Glove Services are not included but may be available in select areas for an additional charge. Please call to inquire (866) 564-3876.

Occasionally, if you live in a very rural area, Free Motor Freight Delivery will not be available to your home, if this is the rare case we can work with the Trucking Company to arrange a meeting place, you can opt to pick up your order at a local terminal, or we can arrange for an inline carrier to deliver to your home at an additional charge. Please notify us in advance if your address is inaccessible to a Freight Truck and we will work with you to find alternate solutions.

When items ship motor freight, in most cases you will be notified 24 hours in advance of you scheduled delivery date and time. All items must be inspected for damage prior to signing the freight bill. If the driver will not wait for you to inspect the shipment please write on the freight bill: "driver will not wait to inspect for damage". Failure to do so may prohibit us from being able to replace the damaged pieces at no charge to you.
