About Uwharrie and Southern Pine

Uwharrie furniture is crafted of solid, kiln dried pressure treated pine, the material of choice for outdoor deck construction. Insect and rot resistant, the furniture requires no additional protection from exposure to weather. This is why it is possible to distress the finish on Uwharrie Beds, giving them the appearance of time-worn antiques.

You should expect to see some additional loss of paint and some surface cracking; exposed wood will eventually turn dark; the wood will even warp slightly from time to time. This makes each piece unique, and slightly different from the rest. Even as nature matures your furniture, the wood and the product will remain structurally sound for years to come.

Warranty Information:

The wood used in Uwharrie Chair products is warranted against termites and decay when used in normal environmental conditions. The hardware is also warranted against corrosion due to exposure to normal environmental conditions.

The original consumer is entitled to receive new wood replacement parts for damage or rot or termites. The original consumer is also entitled to replacement hardware if any screws or bolts experience corrosion under normal environmental conditions.

Natural Finish
Rustically styled outdoor furniture crafted of hand selected, domestically harvested pressure treated solid pine lumber, with no additional finish treatment to compromise or hinder the natural aging process.

Uwharrie Chair Company uses a specially developed latex enamel paint that is made for outdoor use, is non-toxic, and water based. Darker color paints such as Rustic Red, Tractor Red, New England Red, and Twilight Blue are mixed with SPF agents to resist fading. Uwharrie Chair Company offers three finishes other than their popular Natural. Pristine, which is not aged in appearance. Distressed which is slightly distressed around the edges and grain to give the appearance of an antique, weathered look. And Washed, the most distressed finish to give the appearance of a further antique look.

How The Uwharrie Finish Will Age
The wood used in Uwharrie Chairs requires no additional protection from exposure to weather. This is why it's possible to distress the finish, giving them the appearance of time worn antiques. About Shipping: Twin, Double and Queen Beds ship using UPS or Federal Express and will take 5-7 days in transit.

King Beds will be delivered by Motor Freight Truck, with Curbside Delivery Service and will take 5-10 days in transit. Lift-gate Service, Indoor Delivery or White Glove Services are not included but may be available in select areas for an additional charge. Please call to inquire (866) 564-3876.

Occasionally, if you live in a very rural area, Free Motor Freight Delivery will not be available to your home, if this is the rare case we can work with the Trucking Company to arrange a meeting place, you can opt to pick up your order at a local terminal, or we can arrange for an inline carrier to deliver to your home at an additional charge. Please notify us in advance if your address is inaccessible to a Freight Truck and we will work with you to find alternate solutions.

When items ship motor freight, in most cases you will be notified 24 hours in advance of you scheduled delivery date and time. All items must be inspected for damage prior to signing the freight bill. If the driver will not wait for you to inspect the shipment please write on the freight bill: "driver will not wait to inspect for damage". Failure to do so may prohibit us from being able to replace the damaged pieces at no charge to you.
