This wonderful Oak spirit measures about 36 in long from top to bottom, carved of White Oak. Natural twigs extend to the top of the piece for a very rugged yet totally natural appearance. It is crafted by master woodcarver Shawn Cipa - simply extraordinary!

The Wood Spirit myth comes to us from several Western European cultures, the most prominent being the Irish Celtic and the Germanic Black Forest regions. In Old English circles, he is known as the Jack o' the Green, or the Green Man of the Forest. He is said to be the Keeper of the Forest, the Guardian of all living things within. He is known to be benevolent and friendly, but powerful and quick to anger if his domain is disturbed.

These elusive creatures are extremely hard to spot when out strolling through the forest. It's said that if you actually spot a Wood Spirit, he will bestow upon you good luck and health!
